As the ICT Team Leader I recognised that the team required a structured corporate approach. I documented policies and procedures, modified the ICT methodology to fault recording, and introduced Service Desk fault codes. Route Cause Analysis of the service desk requests enabled the targeting of specific preventable requests. I introduced the practice of standardisation within the ICT environment, and innovation with the rollout of 64bit computing and windows 7. • Apr 2007 - Jul 2009

In the Configuration Management (CM) group I was involved in the creation and auditing of configurations for IP Routers and Switches for the Titan project. Working tightly with the individual project groups I was able to support their CM requirements. I developed software to automate the auditing process of the configs, software and hardware of the various technologies that made up the Titan project. Communication with the customer (Telstra) was maintained via regular meetings and KPI reports produced by the application via crystal reports. Internal customers were able to gain key data from my group via an intranet site that I developed. I trained the CM staff in the use of the application and website Show less

    • 3rd Party Supplier Manager
      • Oct 2005 - Mar 2007

As the 3rd Party Supplier Manager I was able to add value to many areas of the organisation. The following is a list of some of my accomplishments and areas where I added value. a. I automated MRP templates for the reconciliation of stock on hand, open purchase orders and open sales orders. b. Developed relationships with suppliers. c. Developed a close working relationship with project/program managers, practices group, string testers, and the warehouse staff within Ericsson to provide them a one stop shop for all 3PL requirements. d. Set up supply chain for new and existing products that were previously sourced adhoc. e. Developed a ‘score card’ to use with suppliers to gauge their reliability on deliveries. f. I regularly informed stakeholders regarding stock availability. g. I wrote procedures to cover workflow, and gave feedback on procedures for other groups. h. I regularly help other groups with data-mining/manipulation issues. i. Due to my strategic sourcing, Ericsson saved over $40,000 per month on ‘run-rate’ business and improved supply chain and lowered labour costs. Show less

    • Operations Centre Team Leader
      • May 2000 - Oct 2005

      a. As a Team Leader for Silcar, I was responsible for the 24/7 management of Telstra’s national DC power infrastructure. b. I managed up to 10 staff during the day and 3 after hours. c. I took on an IT support role within the group as well as writing many applications that revolutionised the way we did business. d. I developed an intranet web site that is in use by all STOC staff as well as Telstra staff and management on a national scale. e. Included in my day to day duties were keeping stakeholders informed (SMS, verbal & written), alarm and fault management, staff mentoring, and field staff coordination. f. During 2004/2005 I spent time off shift to coordinate national field projects that saved the client over $3 million while generating $170,000 of work to Silcar. While working on these projects I also developed software for other groups and wrote over 30 procedures and work instructions for the STOC. g. I developed an application in vb.net to interface between the clients’ Oracle DBOR and Silcar’s SQL DBOR. The application is used to process all planned events requiring Silcar approval. The process time by staff was cut by 90%. h. Throughout my secondment I consistently worked for other business units on an ad hoc basis providing data mining from SQL databases (Crystal Reports).
