Full Time Faculty Member- Social Work Department - Kutztown University, Kutztown PA August 2011 to Present Member of the full time faculty, assigned to instruct the following practicum courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level of study; SWK 381, SWK 383, SWK 481, SWK 483, SWK 581 and SWK 583. Acting as the primary field liaison for the program, duties include; facilitating communication between the field instructors and the program, grading student assignments and determining a final grade, conducting site visits, remedying problematic field situations and helping to maintaining relationships with the over 87 different field placement agencies affiliated with the program. Active in student learning as guest lecturer and coordinator for special campus and off campus events, such as Alumni / Graduation Celebration Committee and NASW-PA Legislative Advocacy Day. Acting as a conduit to facilitate transfer student entry into the BSW Program from outside institutions, as well as from other programs at Kutztown University. Advisement responsibility for about 50 BSW students in the program, including 25% of which are classified as at risk students.
