Significantly autonomous key strategic and operational role as this company was in its business infancy. Responsible for marketing to establish new clients, plus maintaining client relationships developed through related business eneterprise. General management functions associated with stock control, renegotiating terms and prices with suppliers, compiling costing and quotations, tender presentations, and provided direction to the Production Manager. Monitored monthly operating accounts including cash flow, sales/revenue and operating costs. Sourced and directed subcontractors. A major legacy was to expand the client base so as to stabilize the financial viability of this company that was in its infancy. Business development expansion created through targeting and offering signage products and services that provided greater synergies with a related aluminium manufacturing company owned by the same proprietors as CA Concepts & Signs.

This role required servicing national corporate franchise clients through to gaining small local business clients. Relationship building was developed through provision of sound technical advice and strategic marketing recommendations to clients, assistance with obtaining local government approvals and ensuring that the production deliverables were designed to best meet customer requirements. This required the ability to deal with a range of persons including builders, architects and graphic artists, along with the ability to read architectural and building construction drawings. A major achievement during my employment was to secure within this period likely the largest dollar value sky signage contract in Perth. This project was successfully planned, negotiated and completed within the context of a large construction site and the complexities that such an undertaking brings.
