      I was one of 26 former Marine Embassy Guards that were providing security for the National tour of an original copy of the Bill of Rights during its 200th Anniversary. We traveled and exhibited the document in a 50,000 SF pavilion in 52 cities in all 50 States. Because of the controversy behind the sponsorship of the tour, we encountered protesters from every angle imaginable, but due to the training as Embassy guards and discipline as Marines we never had a major incident during the 14 months of the tour. In fact, the Marines guarding the exhibit became a part of the exhibit due to the Persian Gulf War which occurred during the tour. Show less
