Key Achievements •Assisted in securing Internal and External funding for Capital and revenue projects amounting to over £10 million, including building and maintaining Community Sport Team of 17 fulltime members of staff. •Created a new delivery model for sport participation, know as Southwark Community Games with over 10,000 young people involved per year. •Created and developed new Sport and Physical activity Strategy and Action plan for Southwark, from establishment of Project board, commissioning consultants through to formal adoption. •Established Proactive Southwark, ‘Community Sport and Physical Activity Network’ •Secured funding for and implemented the refurbishment of 16 Multi Use sport Games Areas. •Achieved the Most Improved London Borough Accreditation in getting more Adults physically active over 3 years (Sport England Active People Survey) •Highly successful engagement and respect within the political process with Local Elected members and high profile MPs.
