Directly responsible for 61 Extended Stay Hotels, with a total sales of $98 million. Duties include: creating and implementing strategic plans, administering budgets and developing improved processes to meet short and long term goals; interviewing all potential employees, training, scheduling staff and evaluating performance; establishing a team oriented environment through positive, proactive leadership; tracking accounts payable, account receivable and maintain employee time, attendance and payroll records; and driving sales through motivating and training employees. Responsible to train new Area Managers/General Managers. Review/approve all capital invoices related to capital dollars for my region and documented through various spreadsheets. Work with all types of vendors, review contracts and scope of work to be performed including landscape project upgrades for final approval. Travel to complete property audits and maintenance evaluations. Work with Regional Facilities Manager and local agencies that govern boiler and fire system regulations and permit work when necessary. Coordinate activities with other departments to accomplish corporate goals and objectives. Review budgets, design specs for implementation to devise scope of work for contractor bids. Complete renovation of 10 hotels totaling $500,000.00 which includes hiring of individual contractors to complete the projects. Renovation includes exterior, interior rooms/common area re-design. Available 24 hours a day for emergency related issues for the region.

Was responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of four hotels in the Raleigh, NC market. Was also responsible for assisting in the acquisitions of two hotels in Durham and Cary, NC.
