I have had the opportunity to serve with and observe Tim Bailey on multiple occasions during a three year joint tour of duty. Tim was a positive addition to the Unit we served in together, impressing me since the day we first met, inspiring everyone he was in contact with. Much of my involvement with Tim included activities in support of engaging, assisting, and empowering military personnel. His efforts led to multiple service members learning about the importance of living their lives in an active and positive manner, emphasizing the importance of physical fitness that leads to mental wellbeing. Tim has been an inspiration to service members and civilians alike, encouraging and motivating others to achieve more, to push their limits and exceed their own expectations. Tim Bailey is one of the most talented and dedicated Marines I have had the honor and pleasure of serving with during my eight years in the Marine Corps. His judgement, analytical skills, and leadership abilities were essential to any success our team had during our two years working together. Tim served as my main advisor and second in command for a team of 12 Marines that was charged with ensuring 80 reserve Marines were supported in every aspect from safety, proper training, logistics, and human resource issues. Multiple times a week, Tim would be called upon to address a host of different issues. The one thing that never changed was the fact that Tim provided expert counsel and was always prepared to justify his recommendations with sound written policy and years of experience in the Marines. Tim also had the ability to take the guidelines I set down and operate independently to save time and exploit any opportunities when they appeared. Time and time again, he found resources that our team could use to bring part time reserve Marines in more often which helped maintain the material readiness of our life support equipment, weapons, optics and radios. Our team was one of the few teams that could pass an administration and human resources inspection. This was directly due to Tim’s ability to work with our HR team and balance their current work load with the preparation they needed to conduct for the examination. His experience, dedication, and worth ethic would make him a great addition to any team especially in a leadership position. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
