I managed a diverse caseload of clients (2 - 100 years) with CP, SCI, ABI, TBI, MND and other physical and cognitive deficits with complex (level 2) seating and wheelchair needs in a community setting. My Role included but was not limited to: • Completing in-depth seating and wheelchair assessments, recommending realistic mobility and seating solutions • Facilitating the trial process with clients and key stake holders including funding agencies, suppliers, referrers, other therapists and family members • Maintaining clinical records to a high standard • Configuring trial and purchased equipment to meet the needs of each client within their environment • Provide education to clients and their carers Patient-Oriented Achievements: • Scripted complex wheelchairs and seating for clients with a wide variety of needs, goals and functional components • Provided education and training to young clients and their families after the provision of a power chair, facilitating independent mobility • Worked closely with clients who have a diagnosis of MND, assisting them to transition into a power wheelchair to maintain their independence and mobility

I managed a diverse caseload of clients across three programs: The Early Intervention Program (2 to 6yo), School (7 to 18yo) and the Home Management Program (18 to 60yo). My role included but was not limited to: • Work with clients with a variety of diagnosis including ASD, CP, GDD, Development Delay, Down Syndrome and others • Work closely with teachers, Speech Therapists, Physiotherapists and Clinical Psychologists to set and address client-centered goals • Undertake functional and standardised assessments • Provide intervention for clients focusing on: sensory integration, fine motor skill development, handwriting development, spasticity management, NDT, seating, postural management and functional tasks • Provision of caregiver training • Fabrication of splints Patient-Oriented Achievements: • Procureded 10 activity chairs in the EIPIC classroom to be used by 40 students with high seating and postural needs • Scripted complicated wheelchair and seating for clients with complex needs including upgrading clients from dated seating systems and the provision of appropriate systems to meet their functional and postural needs • Built rapport with clients and their families from diverse cultural and family backgrounds to enable the implementation of assistive technology including seating, and functional retraining programs in the home Management & Education-Oriented Achievements: • Provided mentoring and supervision to six co-workers for the assessment, trial and prescription of wheelchairs and seating systems for clients with complex seating needs • Provided hands-on training and follow-up support to teachers, enabling them to set up activity chairs for students in their classroom • Delivered splinting education and workshops to the Occupational Therapy team

Provided rehabilitation to clients with a TBI or ABI in an inpatient setting. I managed a diverse caseload of inpatients with TBI’s, and hypoxic injuries who required rehabilitation for both severe and minor brain injuries.
