I worked at a bottle store specialising in craft and local products in Brunswick, owned by a cooperation that also manages several pubs. While working here I took on several administrative duties, particularly regarding the management of stock. This included receiving and processing both manually and cataloguing in the online systems, and the general product management, including stock-count, organisation, and transferring it across venues (all venue stock was delivered to our location to then be delivered). This job required consistent and up-to-date product knowledge, due to its niche reputation and specialisation. This role allowed me to further develop my research, interpersonal, conflict-management, and administrative skills. Show less

I completed a three month contract with United Energy as an IT consultant for their Cyber Security team.As United Energy has merged with CitiPower & Powercor, the Cyber Security department serves all three distribution networks. My primary responsibility was to execute the completion of the Australian Energy Sector Cyber Security Framework. This was an exercise in project management, as it involved scheduling and facilitating meetings with relevant stakeholders, compiling and assessing evidence, and rendering the information provided by technical experts accessible enough to ensure transparency between departments. Some examples of my responsibilities were: - Assessing security controls against industry frameworks (specifically AESCSF - Australian Energy Sector Cyber Security Framework) to measure the maturity of security within the organisation. - Engaging with senior stakeholders from various aspects of the business to understand how they were addressing security concerns. - Managing competing schedules, timelines, and priorities to facilitate meetings between stakeholders. Additionally, I assisted the head of cyber security with other projects and administrative tasks. - Aiding in running steering committees for security, ensuring minutes were captured and steering committee packs were updated. - Analysing security incidents, aiding with direction and ensuring security incidents were closed appropriately. - Working with regulating bodies such as AEMO (Australia Energy Market Operator) to ensure assessments were accurate. - Developing metrics to measure the deployment and functioning of the security program, including trend analysis showing continuous improvement. This role allowed me to gain insight into Operational Technology for critical infrastructure. Further, by Analysing and articulating security frameworks such as NIST, ISO27000, AESCSF, and C2M2, I was able to provide insight for the organisation regarding the maturity of their security program.
