By the use of remote sensing and by conducting archaeological and geo-archaeological fieldwork, the doctoral research focused on the traces of irrigation and ancient dams in Central Fars (Southern Iran). As part of a wider Iranian-French archaeological project, the study aims to add to the reconstruction of the archaeological landscape of the Achaemenid Heartland in the First Millennium BC. It hopes to contribute to a more contextual and landscape-oriented understanding of the Achaemenid royal palaces of Pasargadae and Persepolis. Show less
