      My most important project in Kalajoki was to renew the website of the City of Kalajoki. The city had quite a new website already but it had a lot of technical and usability problems and gathered bad feedback from different user groups. Therefore the management really wanted this project to succeed. The project to revamp the website was launched in autumn 2015. Our technical partner was Valu Digital from Jyväskylä. Also the graphic design came from Valu. The aim was to create a website that serves all target groups within the municipality with regard to its content, usability and layout. Another aim was to present Kalajoki as an attractive municipality to live in and a vibrant location for companies to settle in.Particular attention was paid to the ease of finding information and navigation. The website features a clear page hierarchy that helps visitors navigate the site easily. The aim was to make the visual appearance of the website clear and modern. This trendy look strengthens Kalajoki’s image as an active tourism municipality. When we published the new website, we also introduced a customer service chat which provides information on the city’s services, helps customers navigate the website and collects feedback. This feature got very good feedback and gathered a lot of interest from other municipalities. All in all I'm very proud of this project and how the website turned out to be. It has gathered a lot of good feedback from different user and interest groups. In addition, in one study which compared 294 municipality websites, Kalajoki was one of the ten best sites.       When I was asked whether I would like to plan and coordinate the marketing of International Military Music Festival Hamina Tattoo 2014, I did not hesitate to take the challenge. Even though I didn't have previous experience in marketing such a big international event I knew I wanted to introduce new marketing channels, execute integrated media campaigns, increase the awareness of the festival and reinforce the image of Hamina Tattoo.Hamina Tattoo 2014 was a success. The targeted ticket sales revenue was exceeded and the festival reached a record audience, over 110 000 visitors. In previous years, Hamina Tattoo has attracted some 80,000 visitors. In addition, we succeeded in customer acquisition through targeted marketing campaigns, new marketing channels and improving marketing communications.
