To champion operational and nursing excellence during a high-growth period, I focused on raising staff engagement to support 11 additional providers. While aligning 20 staff members behind a shared strategic plan, SOPs, and policies to improve performance, compliance, and emergency preparedness across key programs and units, I fortified internal partnerships and ensured smooth clinic operations by personally supporting providers with 24-hour, on-call service to deliver timely patient care. Always looking for new opportunities to improve patient care, I figured prominently in the launch of profitable new practices, programs, and departments, which paved the way for $3M in new revenue streams. Prompting the highest reimbursement based on superior patient satisfaction levels, I improved rounding on new patients to lift the patient experience and quality of care. By enhancing safety guidelines and rolling out a risk assessment program for pain management procedures, we saw a 65% decrease in fall-related injuries for patients 65 and older. Driving broader fiscal efficiencies, I lowered supply costs by 26% and captured maximum revenue with a new billing reporting process that highlighted missing charges and documentation and resolved mounting provider-billing errors. To boost team productivity and efficiency, I became a member of the clinical super user team and staff trainer for EPIC as well as Allscripts super user. On the compliance side, I gained CLIA approval for waiver after driving monthly quality control testing to achieve 95% compliance. We also maintained 99% clinic-wide compliance for safety, quality, and patient satisfaction. A strong advocate for team building and inclusiveness, recruited top talent and raised employee engagement and satisfaction via monthly rounding. Following the unexpected departure of our occupational health director, I stepped up as interim leader for 4 months to ensure the health and general wellbeing of all employees. Show less

No easy feat to deliver high-quality patient care at 15 locations across a 100-mile radius while overcoming compliance challenges with State of Texas BON and OSHA requirements, but I led my 140-person organization to achieve our compliance targets within a year. And by introducing balloon endoscopy procedures, it not only improved the patient experience, but also enabled the ENT department to add $8K to $10K in monthly revenue. Critical to realizing $50K to $75K in annual savings in 10 months, I renegotiated medical-supply and biohazard-waste contracts with our vendors. Upon my arrival, I detected an ordering error on the EHR system and quickly steered an initiative to refund patients $21.6K for incorrectly billed lab-test charges. Following that, I drove upgrades, changes, and training to the Nextgen EHR. With a reputation for uncovering and solving potential operational issues before they escalated, I enhanced procurement processes to maintain accurate supply levels. As the driving force behind compliance, risk management, and quality control, I obtained a CLIA waiver, instituted practice-wide RCRA guidelines and clinical procedures/staffing practices, and met state and federal requirements for quality care systems. As a member of the ENT, Quality Assurance (QA), and Information Systems (IS) Committees, I influenced wider change in these areas. A people person by nature, I fortified relationships with physicians, the physician board, individual board members, and committee chairs while promoting an inclusive culture for 15 RN managers and 125 clinical staff members, which decreased staff turnover by 76% and boosted care quality, continuity, and safety. To better prepare emergency services staff on emergency procedures and SOPs, I instituted an organization-wide training improvement plan. Show less

Always smiling and maintaining positivity in every situation, I led by example with empathy, self-awareness, and an impeccable work ethic while supporting and promoting the mission and values of the organization and ensuring strict regulatory compliance. In charge of employee recruitment, staffing, and retention, I implemented team engagement activities and increased participation in a hospice-wide Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Ultimately, I met financial and profit growth goals for all assigned operational areas while enabling patients to live fully and comfortably through a holistic interdisciplinary team approach.
