  I am currently a teacher within the Nutley Public School District. I am the lead teacher in a self-contained preschool classroom that utilizes the methodologies and principles of applied behavior analysis. My role allows me to provide students and paraprofessionals with a nourishing classroom environment. I conduct assessments, such as the VB-MAPP and ABLLS, to create and manage individualized instructional programs for each of my students.   I began working at Healthbarn USA by managing the kitchen during the nutrition enrichment summer camp program. I worked closely with children, ages 5-12, in teaching them kitchen safety and skills. I grew to assist, and eventually teach, nutrition enrichment classes during the school year. In addition, I co-lead and assisted during school field trips, assemblies, and adult culinary events. I learned about the importance of nutrition education for children growing up in our current society.
