I have been responsible for conducting experiments and developing assays for the early detection of cancer using methylated DNA. This includes enzyme quality control, sample preparation, and utilizing NGS techniques with Illumina instruments. In this diverse role, I have worked on various projects and collaborated closely with both the protein and chemistry teams, where we have successfully integrated an in-house enzyme into our assay. Furthermore, to this achievement, my work and results has been included in the Invention Disclosure Form for our in-house enzyme. Additionally, I have gained experience in developing a laboratory information management system (LIMS) to track inventory and assist lab users with an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) and workflows. I have also worked with automated robots, such as the Hamilton Microlab STAR and Microlab Prep, contributing to method development and troubleshooting efforts.
