Head Bartender duties, along with regular bartender duties include: • Inventory all alcohol before distributing to bars. • Assign bartenders to each bar and oversee the running of all bars. • Make sure the bars are clean and tidy at all times, even during busy periods. • Create and maintain teamwork among the bartenders. • Check inventory of glassware, mixers, ice regularly during the event at bars and have staff replenish as needed. • Monitor ice amounts especially in hotter weather. Notify captain before running out of ice for options to replenish. • Assign breaks to bartenders on a rotating basis. • Makes sure that complaints and disturbances are dealt with in a polite manner, including request for shots. • Make sure no tip jars are displayed at the bar. • No shots allowed. • Know where the alcohol goes at the end of the event. Note the amount of alcohol left on the bar report if PO provided alcohol. • Fills out the Post-Event Bartender’s report. Show less
