I worked within the Business and Strategy team as part of a project to redesign their intranet presence. I also supported the team in a number of tasks including research, administrative, and taking part in a LEAN project. Additionally, I assisted teams in the wider organisation by writing and scheduling social media posts, and contributing to the Glasgow Loves Christmas marketing campaign. I attended a 3-day training course with Sparqs in preparation for my role. This involved collaborating with students from across the UK and Ireland, developing my presentation and facilitation skills. In my role, I delivered a training presentation to groups of up to 20 students who were newly elected class representatives. This training explained their purpose as class reps, as well as developing some of the skills necessary to their position through facilitating group activities and the use of PowerPoint slides. This role allowed me to strengthen my presentation skills, including having the confidence and ability to present and interact with a large group of people. I also gained deeper insight into the processes and issues surrounding student engagement. Show less

Working in the retentions department of a call centre I was required to work to targets and KPIs whilst maintaining a high level of product knowledge. My role involved understanding customer needs and tailoring solutions to fit each individual as well as taking ownership of complaints and following them through to a successful resolution. I was also nominated by my manager to be “Engagement Champion” for my team, which involved incentivising and motivating my fellow team members.
