    • Intern Tucson Center for Black Life
      • Jan 2021 - Jun 2021

I served as an Intern for the rebranding of the Tucson Afro-Heritage Museum, "Tucson Center for Black Life." During my experience, I worked with a team of 2 other interns and supervisors; in which we participated in developing SWOT Analysis, goals, taking inventory and cataloging artifacts, and setting deadlines for tasks. My specific role as an intern was to develop mock logo ideas for the rebranding of the center. Throughout my experience, I experimented with color schemes, fonts, and calligraphy. I learned that it is important to understand seven important visual elements which are: color, space, line, texture, form, size, and shape. Understanding these visual elements creates a bridge to express the desired communication. My goal was to create mock logos that resembled the Southwest Tucson culture and community while also incorporating the presence of Black culture.
