Tia is an incredible PBS practitioner. She is the epitome of ‘putting people first’. I worked with Tia to support some really complex young people, who were finding it difficult to communicate their needs, or understand their environment. Tia and Paddy applied not only their knowledge, but also their personal care and passion into supporting the young people to be able to live their lives to the full potential. The work these guys do is incredible and they really do change lives.

I worked as a Positive Behaviour Support Consultant managing a team of PBS practitioners across Scotland and the North of England. I worked closely with both the operations team and the quality team to ensure a very high standard of service delivery. The PBS team provided clinical expertise to services who work with complex individuals, particularly those with a history of behaviour that challenges. They provide support to operations by completing functional assessments/analysis, creating behaviour support plans, delivering training and helping staff teams develop the skills and environments to effectively support people in complex care settings. I work closely with staff teams to meet the needs of specific individuals we support, particularly those with challenging behaviour and autism. I am also responsible for helping to drive the company wide approach to best meeting the needs of our supported individuals with autism. I link in with external patners such as One Stop Shops, Local Authority Autism Groups, National Network Groups and a range of family carer groups.
