Who says you're not supposed to pick favorites?! Tia Burkhart is, hands down, my favorite coworker I have ever worked with in my over 15 years of employment history. She is a level-headed individual and an asset to any team. Every day that I no longer have her as a coworker is a travesty, and I wish I could carry her along from job to job, but alas we were destined for different career trajectories. She is a valuable person to have in your personal life, as she is a flashlight in the darkness. She is a fantastic listener and though we met through work, I am glad to call her one of my very best friends as well as a former coworker. She always has my back and has unboundless levels of empathy to hear out ones day-to-day woes. She has also endured her share of hardships, but has learned and grown stronger from them, and it's evident when you converse with her. Tia would be well suited for a logistics role, as she is a pro at prioritizing tasks and taking immediate action. She is a real go-getter and the poster child for efficient employees everywhere. Her mind is constantly moving and coming up with ways to tweak and adjust processes to make things run more smoothly. Her relationships with vendors, hospital staff, internal employees, and anyone else who crossed her path was always cordial and professional. If someone she doesn't know is having a bad day, she'll have them laughing and enjoying life again just after a short conversation, all while taking down their work request and getting the job done. She's sneaky in that you don't even notice she's cheering you up until you hang up the phone and go "hey, no fair! I was supposed to be frustrated/sad!" Anyone who doesn't hire Tia to be the North star in the galaxy of their own team is making a mistake. If you've read this far, you know she has qualities that can't be trained in an employee. That's why you should stop reading this and hire her immediately before someone else snatches her up. Thank you for your attention.

Tia has the ability to make definitive and organized decisions in an environment that is constantly changing, unplanned and challenging. I had the pleasure of working side-by-side with Tia in the biomedical department of ARC to logistically coordinate patient samples and biological products in a geographically challenging service area. This cooperative strategizing often occurred during urgent situations that requires decisively quick-thinking, further highlighting Tia's strengths and making her a superior ally to any logistical environment. Her command of our uniquely specific and intricate supply chain system makes her greatly missed here at the Red Cross!
