As a Resident Involvement Manager for Affinity Sutton I am responsible for managing, developing and inspiring staff, working alone and as part of a team, managing budgets, creating, piloting and implementing new methods of involvement e.g. Green Inspectors, Void Inspectors, Neighbourhood Management Forums and Performance Auditors. All these methods allow customers to influence and improve the services they receive from Affinity Sutton on a local, regional and national level. I recruit and train residents and staff in new methods of involvement and work with other directorates which has helped us achieve a common goal. I have helped develop policies and procedures and strategies which our team has adopted. I also work with residents and stakeholders and support the Voids and Lettings and Anti Social Behaviour Service Task Teams and Regional Scrutiny Boards. I worked as an Area Housing Manager covering three estates. My roles included managing Housing Officers, maintenance staff, cleaners and contractors. I was responsibile for staff recruitment, local staff training, mentoring and coaching. I managed budgets, rent accounts (including representing WST in court) and collecting rent at local offices, chasing former tenants rent arrears. I worked with external agencies and partners, promoted and carried out resident involvement activities and applied for funding for local events and equipment. I carried out consultation events when local planned investment work was being carried out on the estates. I managed local contract work. I dealt with ASB and voids and lettings including home visits and signing up new tenants. I also dealt with ASB cases to ensure action was taken in a timely manner and the issues were dealt with and resolved. Show less
