I have known Kim for over four years, two of those were at Pierce college. We met when we taking Engineering physics classes and we have remained in close touch ever since. In college she was my study partner and there was not a single day she never missed a study appointment with us. Kim is one of the most disciplined and punctual person I have ever worked with. Her ability to work efficiently in stressful conditions and nerve-wracking deadlines speaks volumes about her hard work, determination and composed demeanor. During our lab projects she worked as the leader and demonstrated leadership skills and morale. Kim is intelligent, polite and always willing to go above and beyond to help others. In addition Kim is a compassionate human being, with praiseworthy perseverance and ambition. I believe she is a deserving candidate for any science organization and would prove to be an indispensable asset.

I had the opportunity of working and studying with Thu for two years during my time at Pierce College. In those two years, I watched her grow into an outstanding individual who excels in both her academic and personal pursuits. I've seen her not only excel at biochemistry field -- like researching and laboratory skills -- but also extend herself well beyond the scope of her major, like pursuing a minor in physics and developing communication and technological skills by tutoring. I'm greatly impressed by Thu's knowledge and passion for biochemistry by constantly seeking for internships and improving her skills. I believe her ability to adapt to new environment, her willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities are something to be desired in any professional.
