Lab of William SaundersCollaborated with Carnegie Mellon University Material Science department to use pretrained neural network VGG 16 and transfer learning technique to analyze and cluster fluorescent microscopy images of normal and partially depolymerized microtubules in HeLa cells. This was preliminary work to illustrate the potential of transfer learning as a viable option to understand changes in cell cytoskeleton organization using smaller datasets. Collaborated with University of Pittsburgh Chemistry department to investigate the mechanism behind the cellular uptake of nitrogen-doped carbon nanocups (NCNC) and its potential use as a mechanism for the delivery of proteins to trigger chromosomal aberration like events and understand the abscission delay mechanism. Coauthored on publication in "Nanomaterials".Investigated the role of kinesin motor protein kif22 and its role in focal adhesion assembly disassembly and cell motility. Show less
