    • Secretary of the TEIMUN Society
      • Mar 2022 - Sep 2022

As secretary, I was responsible for supporting the trainers and occasionally filling in for the trainers during the weekly sessions that the Society provides. These sessions aim to connect individuals who have an interest in simulating international politics, or what to develop their public speaking skills, or simply come for the social aspect. I enjoyed it a great deal, and felt incredibly rewarded to work with close friends in making our participants' Thursday a big brighter and teach them very useful skills. I was also partially responsible of organizing venues for the weekly sessions and socials, a delegation to the TEIMUN conference in the Hague, and making sure the committee internally was working in a streamlined manner.

    • Treasurer
      • Aug 2020 - Sep 2021

As the treasurer of the board of the TEIMUN foundation, I was responsible for the financial situation of the foundation, putting together budgets and general financial administration, and I am the cental spokesperson when it comes to financial matters for the board. I learned a great deal from this experience, expecially when it comes to communication, financial administration, project work, and working within a group.

As part of the CLIO IRSP research team, we carried out a research project into (democratic) resilience, principally in relation to clean elections. It included a literature review and quantitative analysis. We presented the final reports at International IDEA to various interested researchers. I greatly enjoyed working together with my team, and strengthened my group-work- and communicative capabilities. As student-teacher, I was primarily responsible for leading weekly seminars for the courses of 'Introduction to Economics' and 'International Political Economy of Monetary Relations'. These seminars revise material taught in the lectures and help students complete in-class assignments where they practice the week’s material. Additionally, student-teachers attend all lectures, meet with the course coordinator for a weekly “briefing” (to ask questions and discuss ongoing issues), and assist in the grading of exams. I enjoyed teaching tremendously, and loved conferring my interest in how economic concepts have a real-world impact and application to the students. During the onset of the COVID-19 epidemic, a certain amount of flexibility was needed to still offer online teaching, during which I learned a great deal.
