It is rare that you come across someone just out of the undergraduate program who is as motivated and skilled as Thomas. I had the pleasure of working and collaborating on several transactions with him during his tenure at Advace. The first thing that would be obvious to anyone is his passion towards infrastructure investments and the energy sector. I was particularly impressed by his ability to take initiative, juggle and work through several transactions effortlessly and establish clear communication with different parties to push things forward. I also found his understanding of financial concepts as well as modelling skills to be extraordinary. Nous avons accueilli Thomas Châtenet au sein de la direction financière d’UBS Monaco durant l’été 2016 (juin à août) dans le cadre de son stage de 1ère année au BBA de l’EDHEC. Malgré la courte durée de son intervention et son jeune âge, Thomas a su rapidement intégrer les problématiques de l’activité de banque privée à Monaco. En effet, sa grande capacité d’adaptation et sa bonne connaissance des bases de la finance (comptabilité & marché) ont apportées une forte valeur ajoutée sur toutes les tâches qui lui ont été confiées (réconciliations de comptes, contrôles de la marge d’intérêts et du résultat de change, mise à jour de bases de données financières, création de reportings financiers). Thomas a par ailleurs développé une bonne maîtrise des fondamentaux de SQL et possède un niveau avancé sur Excel & Access.
