  As the Right of Way Real Estate Officer for the City of Topeka, I am responsible for the Right of Way and Easement Acquisition for projects ranging from street projects to sanitary sewer and water line work. Occasionally I purchase fee title land and aide in closings. My job duties include all facets of acquisition work, including negotiations, notarizing signatures, addressing property owner concerns and working with engineers to meet the needs of the owners and processing papers for payment and recording at the Register of Deed's Office. Occasionally we come to an impasse with owners I am required to file for Eminent Domain. I take personal pride that I acquire 98% of my parcels without the need for Condemnation. Show less
