My primary responsibilities in this endeavor included (1) developing and maintaining a laboratory space where faculty and students could prepare organic material isolates, primarily cellulose, from raw sample materials, and (2) investigating and modeling intra-ring stable isotope (delta 18O) variability as a step towards improving the identification of tropical cyclone signatures in tree-rings from the U.S. southwest.

Over three consecutive semesters in this role, teaching four different course (EPS 101 and 105L; ENVS 101; NTSC 261L), I regularly received positive feedback from peers and students in the form direct comments, in-house awards, and of end-of-semester IDEA forms where I regularly placed in the "Much Higher" category when compared to peers.
