  The Western Australian Disabled Sports Association (WADSA), is a non-profit organization located in Perth, Australia. Through participation in Sport & Recreation, WADSA enhances the lives of People with a Disability in WA. This extends to Families, Staff, Volunteers, Support Workers and the Community. I focus on the creation and delivery of inclusive sport and recreation programs for people who live with disabilities. I currently customize, manage and deliver the All Abilities Recreation program to participants. Some programs include, but are not limited to: Paddle boarding, cricket, Australian Rules Football, archery and soccer. The aim of this program is to increase physical literacy, as well as allow participants to create lasting friendships. I also assist in the planning and execution of "Xperiences", which are 3 day, 4 night opportunities for participants to be involved in unique, inclusive sport and recreation programs around Western Australia.

  I am focused on providing one on one support to individual clients to meet their goals and targets by removing barriers to their success. I am responsible for punctually meeting clients to ensure that critical timelines are met for their goals and providing family support and offering guidance for individuals who face a variety of financial, physical, emotional or logistical barriers in order to achieve their goals. Furthermore, I have been tasked with being part of the interview process for prospective staff. I also assist with creating reports with information sent to the Australian National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to advocate for client funding.

  I was employed at the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association in Calgary, Canada as the Program, Marketing and Community engagement coordinator. Some responsibilities for the position included: Social media management for the Community (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, creating marketing material), as well controlling and updating the content of the website. I also created and managed various programs for the facility which included: Spring Shinny Ice Hockey, Pickleball, Seniors Quilting and Youth Day Camps. My greatest career achievement thus far was rebranding the restaurant at the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association. I renamed it “The 56 Lounge”, recreated the menu, hired new staff, utilized a $10,000 budget for new décor, and marketed the facility. Resulting from this rebrand, the restaurant was able to remain in business, and turned a profit in October 2018 for this first time in 14 years. This was extremely valuable leadership and financial experience for my personal development.
