Projects Lead during this time:VIP emergency hardware reclamation and data security operation involving 18 VIP's across the installation. Coordinated the collection and securing of equipment, data recovery process between the VIP's and other technical elements. Resolved a project where external entities could not communicate by email with the Commanding General. Provided consulting on physical security posture and practices at a sensitive location, coordinated VIP desires with the installation and configuration teams.   Provided general IT Support for a testing and integration facility Became subject matter expert on two forms of satellite communication between transceiver and client (BFT I and BTF II), then designed, fabricated and planned out the network method to connect up to 70 satellite transceivers to clients utilizing an 802.1x database to ensure no matter where the client laptop was in the physical space, it paired with the correct transceiver. Designed and created a Linux firewall rule-set to emulate satellite network latency and jitter, to better facilitate interoperability testing with more realistic real world parameters. Worked with Cisco Networking to configure and maintain switches and routers. Assisted with SNMP network monitoring, and demoed several total network health options that went beyond simple SNMP stat tracking. Configured and maintained an integrated network AV security camera system. Designed and fabricated inexpensive versions of military satellite cables, and validated that the new cables did not change test results. Assisted with server administration, desktop administration, 802.1x port security administration, VMware administration, inventory accountability, and problem solving ranging from the mundane concerns for weatherproofing external connections, to engineering advanced IT solutions.
