Housing Officer

Sep 2016 - Present
Currently working as a Housing Officer for Choice Housing Association. The job entails working with a substantial amount of various different people, clients and external bodies. It involves dealing with all tenant queries and issues while trying to achieve a satisfactory outcome and provide a great customer focused service. A housing officer job involves everything and anything related to Housing, were it being having bins cleared, assessing someone to be transferred to another property, to serious Anti Social Behaviour. Anti-social behaviour is unfortunately one of the main jobs involved with being a Housing Officer and I liaise closely with other external bodies such as the Police, inter-agency groups and staff to help reduce this ongoing problem. My Housing patch is currently approximately 550 including 3 sheltered schemes for elderly tenants. The job also involves line management, having management over three scheme co-ordinators, floating caretakers and domestic caretakers.
