At Fox I work as a graphics operator and graphics support. Here we work on sports shows for UEFA, NFL, MLB, and Bundesliga to name a few. My main duties there were that of a floor director and lighting board operator during the show. Working closely with the anchors and technical staff in a timely manner. After it varied as the lighting director, one responsible for all lighting changes and the look for the network news. Secondary, I would help the GFX designers with the day-to-day tasks. At Univision I work in the morning and afternoon digital newscasts. My main duties are that of robotics camera operator and stage manager. During shows, I control 3 robotic cameras, lighting, and camera shading. Before/ After shows I make sure studio is clean and that everything is in working order. That will include working closely with talent, letting them know of certain key points that get added in the show. Our shows have multiple guests and have many moving components to it, so there is a lot of coordination with the director, audio engineer, and technical director. I also work as a live entertainment floor director for our Los Angeles live shows, such as Rose Parade, El Grito, Teleton, radio concerts, and other events Univision hosts throughout the year. Through these events I have been awarded 4 Emmys for my accomplishments. I work as a technical director with promotions department to produce commercials for the channel. Here I will oversee all aspects of technical direction regarding lighting, sound and equipment. I work closely with the director to draft concepts and approve show looks with producer and client specifications. This will include that studio is ready; all client logos are displayed correctly, and will switch between video sources at the directors cues during a recording. Show less

At UFC I work as a graphics operator for the Portuguese and Spanish shows. I’m in charge of executing live graphics during live and delayed productions. Working with the producer and font coordinator, we revise show graphics, days before each event. That entails knowing what the production on English side is using for their show. This is achieved through constant communication with integral staff, these sources of information are used to later relate and translate to Spanish/Portuguese platform to ensure correct commercial branding. When we are live during the UFC live broadcast, our production is receiving detailed instructions live from an international coordinator that is on site taking instruction from the English narrative. Based on this coordination, the producer and director give me commands to play out live graphics. These productions are done on Pay-Per-View, UFC Fight Pass, UFC Now, Fox, and ESPN. Show less

My job changed from being a floor director in a studio to working on live productions. These live productions gave me the experience to be directing a group of people in the direction of the director. There were many opportunities to pick up different positions so I was able to do lighting, editing, graphics, tape playback, camera operating, and technical director.
