  • Conducted desk-based research and literature review to support Sustain Value’s successful business proposal for a Sub-Saharan African mining company piloting the latest TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures) risk management and disclosure framework • As part of the TNFD's 'LEAP' Methodology, I carried out extensive desk-based research to determine the nature interface, impacts, and dependencies of iron ore mining in Sub-Saharan Africa • Carried out preliminary research to support the proposed development of a 'net positive' methodology for an SME printing company. This research considered environmental, social, and economic impacts throughout the printing value chain and was conducted across academic and grey literature sources.

  • Worked as part of the upstream carbon offsets team towards the goal of developing a risk framework to address uncertainty factors affecting the delivery of successful carbon offset projects. • Conducted research on the environmental policy and economic characteristics of a range of Sub-Saharan African countries to determine the viability of carbon-financed efficient cookstove projects in the region. • Worked alongside the carbon analyst team in researching likely future demand for carbon offsets generated through international aviation sector growth and state participation in CORSIA mandated offsetting • Produced policy research reports on developments concerning Article 6 of the Paris Climate Agreement, with a particular focus on the implications of corresponding adjustments for the voluntary carbon market. This was used to develop a more informed understanding of Nationally Determined Contributions and their openness to international carbon finance and markets
