I have gotten to know Thomas over this past year because of his involvement with our UK Athletics Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Being named as a team SAAC representative is the highest leadership position a UK student-athlete can attain. In short, Thomas has been a tremendous asset to our group. He has perfect attendance at our meetings this year which is impressive considering the time intensive demands of an NCAA student-athlete which include games, practice, workouts, class, tutors, and study hall. He is a true leader in every sense of the word and regularly contributes ideas and enthusiasm to our group. On top of that, he is an excellent student and was named to our Southeastern Conference Honor Roll in 2010-11, his first as a UK student. I have no doubts he will make a successful transition from college athlete to whatever profession he chooses. I give him my highest recommendation.
