One of six RWJF Health Policy Fellows in Washington DC for the 12 month in residence program introducing health professionals to national health policy formulation and implementation. After a 4 month orientation I began work on January 4,2016 as a majority staff member of the Health Subcommittee of the Ways and Means Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives. During the Fellowship I was on sabbatical from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.
