Nexus (2013 Australia and New Zealand Architecture Student Congress)

Jul 2011 - Jul 2013
Nexus was the 2013 Australia and New Zealand Student Architecture Congress, held in Newcastle. Themed on the future of the city, it brought 23 Australian and International speakers together with 250+ delegates at Newcastle City Hall and the University, and included the inauguration of the Urban Surge student urban design competition. My role began in 2011 with conceptual development, venue hire, speaker selection, sponsorship contact, marketing and scheduling. We collaborated extensively with the Australian Institute of Architects, with weekly teleconferences and monthly stakeholder consultation. We were very happy, with a higher than expected turnout and some fantastic presentations from a variety of points of view. Show less
