As a high school instructional assistant I work closely and build relationships with students, special education teachers, and social workers in order to maximize lesson delivery,and classroom management. The students are all identified by the district has having psychological distress including Generalized Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, and personality disorders. I am an observer of student behavior and academics and I am looking out for warning signs and changes in behavior. During team meetings I report student patterns and inform the social workers of warning signals or significant changes in student behavior or achievement.
