My field of research lies at the boundary between metamorphic petrology and geophysics. I study the potential influence intrinsic parameters of mid-crustal shear zones to bring a petrological contribution in the better understanding of geophysical properties of the crust, like deep crustal seismicity or seismic anisotropy. My petrological work is based on high-definition X-ray mapping, cathodoluminescence and EBSD. Experimental measurement of elastic waves velocities and EBSD-based modeling are used to characterize the geophysical properties of ductile shear zones. Show less
