Natural Habitats is the largest Landscape design build company in New Zealand, and has won more awards for its designs than any other design company over the last 30 years. I was fortunate to find myself in a highly autonomous role, where I was able to work directly with clients and consultants to create beautiful and original landscapes. A number of projects I undertook have gone on to be recognised in publications and awards. I cherish the relationships I built with clients, colleagues and consultants and appreciate all the lessons they helped me learn along the way.As a design build company, I was exposed to all the realities of producing and maintaining a landscape. This ensured I was able to see the design through to its completion, and work closely with the construction and maintenance teams to see the vision come to life in every detail. The hands-on nature of Natural Habitats set a foundation for my understanding of landscape design and construction.
