Raised and negotiated almost $30 million in debt financing in a four year period despite challenging corporate and industry structural issues. As the number two person in the company, played a key role in helping to turn around the company from a $5.4 million operating loss to a $2.6 million operating profit in 2002 through innovative new programs and cost controls. Responsible for placement of the first ever Subway inside of a convenience store. Pioneered the now commonplace offering of branded food in convenience stores. The program generated over $400,000 per year for the company in operating profit after G&A costs. Developed an annual zero based budget for all 102 stores. Over a five year period, this consolidated budget operating profit met or exceeded budget in all but one year. Designed, negotiated and implemented a company operated ATM program which, although requiring up to $2 million in cash to fill the ATMs was done with no cash out fo the company through a creative financing arrangement. The program generated almost $250,000 more income per year than the standard processing deal available at the time. Created a permanent $1 million cash float for the company through the development of an innovative money order program which produced over $300,000 per year in income.
