  I worked as a Mate and deckhand-engineer in the yachting industry, mainly in the Mediterranean Sea but also in the Bahamas and on the East coast of the USA and completed an Atlantic crossing. Customers in this industry do not take "No" as a response and want solutions to be delivered in the fastest and best way. Yet, owners' profiles can vary as do their yachts. I shared my working and living place with crew members from all over the word, teaching me how to handle cultural differences and developing patience and empathy for my colleagues, who became family. Working under different captain's authority made me aware of the wide array of possibilities when choosing a management style or more specifically addressing an issue. I have always striven to get the best results, paying a lot of attention to details as they are what matters at the end of the day. Show less
