Claims Auditor
-
Mar 2019 - Present
As a Claims Auditor, I am responsible for sifting through hundreds of auto insurance claims from our valued clients per day. I have developed, through practice and patience, a keen eye for identifying file discrepancies that can lead to subrogation potential of the opposing party. This, in turn, earns money for our client, Praxis, and hopefully the policyholder by means of deductible reimbursement. Determination and persistence are pillars of this job, and it has taught me the importance of digging into the finer details. Show less

Sales Associate

Working as a sales associate at The UPS Store was a great experience for gaining valuable customer service skills. My job was to find a solution to every customer's request whether that be packing and shipping a lamp to Japan, making 100 copies of a poem, or setting up a mailbox for a customer to receive mail and packages at our location. Research Assistant

Jan 2017 - Sep 2017
While still studying at Indiana University, I had the opportunity to work for my father at the Biobehavioral Alcohol Research Laboratory aka Finn Lab. My biggest task was to create a website for the lab to market and promote the research that he has become world renown for. I also assisted Dr. Joshua Brown on his MRI study on nicotine and the effects it has on the brain for heavy smokers. This job was a unique experience where I was able to utilize my background in Informatics for web development, User Interface design, and database management. I also enjoyed the chance to collaborate with my father on the professional level and gained a new level of respect for his work. Show less

Student Outreach
-
Mar 2016 - Dec 2016
Working for University Information Technology Services (UITS) in the Student Outreach program was a great experience. As a team we set up tables around campus to inform and provide assistance for anything technology related to students and faculty alike. We pride ourselves on educating our fellow Hoosiers on great services like unlimited cloud storage with Box, free Microsoft and Adobe software that can be downloaded or streaming through IU Anyware, and sustainable computing. All students pay for access to these great services and we ensure they become familiar and comfortable using them. This job was great because I was able to directly work with students and faculty by informing and helping them with whatever they need. Show less

Intern
-
May 2016 - Aug 2016
In the Summer of 2016 I worked full time as an IT Support Internship for The Finish Line Inc, at the corporate office. My main project this summer was to assemble and implement 100+ new "all-in-one" computers for Finish Line's Customer Care center. I used skills picked up from years of being around technology, as well as my current IT job with IU on the Student Outreach team. In addition to my hardware installation, I also worked on an Intern Team Case Competition focusing on improving Finish Line's Supply Chain and E-commerce. We were lucky enough to win the competition, but more importantly I was able to gain great insight on how a supply chain works and how to implement better customer communication via E-commerce.I learned so much from working this position. The chance to combine my IT expertise with my passion for footwear at one company was amazing. As much as I learn in school, it pales in comparison to real world experience. I am very gratefully for this opportunity I was presented, and left with impactful experience and lifelong relationships Show less

Extern
-
Feb 2016 - Apr 2016
During the Spring of 2016 I worked at the Finish Line Corporate Office as an extern through the Indiana University Apparel Merchandising Program. My job was handling a case project where myself and my team researched and presented a strategy regarding customer retention and loyalty for Finish Line. During this 8 week externship, we got the chance to meet and learn from many people at the corporate office from executives, to the marketing team, and even got the chance to shadow a buyer for an entire day. It was great to utilize my knowledge of sneakers and the footwear market in terms of an actual business and I would definitely do it all again in a heartbeat. Luckily I was able to continue on with Finish Line as an IT Intern for the Summer of 2016 and I hope to capitalize what I learned from this experience onto the next step in my career path. Show less

Pool Manager
-
May 2015 - Sep 2015
I have worked at the Bloomington Club as a lifeguard since I was 16 years old. As a lifeguard my first and foremost duty is to ensure the safety of all participants as well as making sure they have an enjoyable experience at the pool. Being the most senior guard there, I was promoted in the summer of 2015 to Pool Manager where I oversaw the work of all the other lifeguards as well as make each week's work schedule. My job as manager require me to handle all comments and concerns about the day-to-day pool activities from members and discuss these messages with the other guards. There are always things for me to do to improve the pool and I like to work my best to ensure that happens. I was put in a leadership role and made it happen, I took criticism from my employers and employees well and performed all of my roles to the best of my ability. I look fondly back on my four summers at the BCC and truly believe that time helped shape me into the man I am today. Show less

Brand Ambassador
-
Aug 2014 - May 2015
As a Brand Ambassador I pride myself of knowing everything there is to know about Loopy cases. Loopy is coming up on a 3 year old start-up company based out of Indiana. It works to prevent you from ever dropping your phone again with a simple yet genius plastic finger loop on the back of the case. I work on individual and team projects to improve and market Loopy as a company using my knowledge of social media and other skills. I showcase Loopy at various events including music festivals, spring break hot-spots, and local campus events to show people the unique and innovative cell phone case. I like to find people that I see as influential and show them just how amazing Loopy really is. Finding people that have thousands to millions of online followers is key to promote a product and I work to provide that service for Loopy Cases. Show less
