      As a Lead Engineer in the Energy Products Department, I supported LIPA’s Commercial Efficiency Program (CEP). I was responsible for evaluating new energy savings technologies as they relate to lighting, HVAC, refrigeration & mechanical systems, energy management systems, etc. These evaluations are looked at from both an electrical and fuel consumption perspective with the intent to determine kW, kWh, btu savings for LIPA’s commercial customers. Part of my responsiblities included being the Subject Matter Expert for LIPA’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Program. I was responsible for reviewing and approving EV / PHEV’s for admittance into LIPA’s rebate program. I handled inquiries related to fueling costs, charging stations, and vehicle technology.In addition to supporting LIPA’s CEP & EV programs, I supported their Renewable Programs (Wind, Solar Thermal, and Solar Photovoltaic). I was LIPA’s Solar Program Manager were my responsibilities were to ensure program compliance within the customer and contractor community. My duties included managing the programs annual operating costs and rebate budget. In managing the financials, I was responsible for maintaining contractor costs and projecting / developing annual budgets. Additionally, I acted as the programs technical expert for solar installations and distribution interconnection. During my tenure as LIPA’s Solar Program Manager, I oversaw the installation of 13.7MWdc of solar PV, while offering $25.3M of incentives to LIPA’s customers. Show less
