I had the pleasure of managing TJ for two years, while he was in the role of Northeast Technical Sales Manager at General Magnaplate Corp. TJ is dedicated, intelligent and extremely hard-working. Immediately upon meeting TJ, I knew he would be a vital member of the sales team. Right from the start, I saw TJ taking the time to thoroughly understand the product portfolio, as well as the industries and customers to whom he was selling. He possesses an innate ability to understand customer needs and tailor his pitch to create an opportunity where they cannot say no. His capacity to rapidly understand who he is communicating with and adjust to their needs in order to complete an objective is invaluable. The cornerstone of TJ’s people skills is his ability to not just hear, but truly listen and comprehend. I attended numerous in-person customer meetings with TJ and I was always impressed with the amount of research he had done and his overall preparedness. On more than one occasion, it was TJ’s attention to detail that helped drive the sale. Also, when assigned tasks, he always made sure they were done completely, efficiently and in a timely manner. One of the most impressive aspects of TJ’s approach to sales is his follow up. In many instances, this industrious quality was the deciding factor in completing the sale. TJ’s natural communication and public speaking skills, in combination with his strong work ethic, makes him a crucial member of any team. TJ would be a great asset to any company, and I wholeheartedly endorse him.
