  Currently, the lab is investigating the interactions between m5C-modified mRNAs and proteins. This work is integral for understanding the key protein sequence motifs essential for m5C recognition. Sequence information derived from these experiments will be used to design therapeutics rationally against many human diseases and conditions, such as cancer, diabetes, and obesity.
