Company Summary Company Network The internal network comprises of a Domain Controller with Windows Server 2000, DNS and DHCP. The staff computers comprise of a mixture of Operating Systems from Windows 98, Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP. All email is virus scanned and profanity checked using Norton Antivirus Corporate and installed on each individual pc via a Norton Server. Network security comprises of an Internal Firewall, Checkpoint Firewall 1, which looks after the internal network. Our hosted servers, Web Servers, DNS Servers and Email Servers are protected by a load-balanced firewall in the form of Stonegate’s Stonesoft firewall. Windows 2000 Server is Choice of Operating System on our Hosted, Web, DNS and Email servers. Other security features in place, intrusion detection provided Snort and server monitoring provided by Servers Alive. Norton Antivirus and Sophos Antivirus are used to protect all our servers against the possible threat of Internet viruses. There are security procedures in place according to BS7799. Daily checks are carried out on all servers and internal Pc’s. All servers and internal pc’s, software are updated when new patches, upgrades are released. Summary of Duties . Responsible for the daily running of both external and internal facing networks including a Custom-built data centre. This encompasses a broad range of duties covering first/second line technical support for Corporate clients (including client web sites and email accounts), both telephone and face To face, as well as network fault diagnosis and resolution, PC support and maintenance.
