  Preparation of a Ph. D. of computer science, in the field of geometric modeling. Concretely, we designed a new approach of modeling tools that reduces their development time and increases their robustness. Inspired by biological simulations, we developed a mathematical language that allows to define any geometric modeling operation by a rule, which consistency is insured by syntactic criteria. From that language, we implemented a geometric modeler as a rule application engine. Thus, implement any new operation as a rule take minutes instead of the regular hours of programming and debugging. Moreover, by use of advanced programming techniques, we made the modeler both competitive with the regular approach, and suitable to any application field (arts, biology, CAD).
