Before joining the Bates Group, Mr. Atwood was a senior developer with LECG and Bates Private Capital Incorporated, a firm that provided litigation consulting, financial analysis, market trend research, and expert witness testimony for securities and other financial-related matters.Mr. Atwood began his career as a manager at Towhee Exploration, where he repaired and designed computer systems, network systems, and cable systems. Additionally, while there he securely transferred data routinely from one server to another and managed electronic data, including the imaging of hard drives. Mr. Atwood then worked for Independent Seismograph/Computer Tech as an oil exploration IT technician and instructor where he handled the technical support of oil exploration equipment. There he also trained exploration crews in imaging and securely transferring data, field operations, seismic computers, and the use of and how to repair software and hardware. Mr. Atwood furthered his career as a web administrator with the City of Odessa, TX where he evaluated new technologies and log files, maintained hardware throughout the organization, implemented a new Odessa Intranet/Internet, and transferred data securely from citizens to the city.
