As the senior teacher at 180 Degrees Trust, I am in charge of one staff member, my role did not differ much from the teaching role as I am still in charge of 16 young people who have been removed from mainstream education. I am in charge of 6 monthly reporting to the Ministry of Education, Parents and various schools around the Canterbury region. I have been heavily involved with the restructure of the trusts health and safety to align with the Safety in the workplace act 2016. Along with this I am also in charge of the day to day running of the school, maintenance of the vehicle fleet and pastoral care of our students. Show less

As the teacher at 180 Degrees Trust, I was responsible for the day to day education of 16 young people who where removed from mainstream education. I had to provide fun, interactive and interesting for these young people as they often did not have the attention span of mainstream students. I was in charge of the finances of the school as well as reporting to a managing trustee on a monthly basis about these. I was the teacher in charge of education outside the classroom and had to ensure the safety of the young people in the outdoors. Show less
