Lead a team of 8 Naval Special Warfare Combat Crewmen (SWCC) operators as Officer in Charge of an 11 Meter RHIB detachment. Additional responsibilities included maintaining security and operability 3 million dollars of weapons and sensitive communications equipment.Our detachment achieved the maximum score in the command's history on the final Operational Readiness Evaluation and was subsequently forward deployed as part of a NSW task Unit for 6 months in the Western Pacific and Indian Oceans.Upon returning from deployment, I lead the initial harbor security team for San Diego after 9/11. During this dynamic period I stood up a team of Naval, Coast Guard and San Diego Police forces who had never worked together prior without incident and maintained 24/7 overt presence through the harbor.
