The UQ Faculty of Science is internationally renowned for excellence and impact in teaching and research. As a project officer, I was tasked with enhancing and digitising learning materials for undergraduate biology and microbiology students. In this role, I had to rapidly develop new multimedia skills and apply them to make online lectures on theoretical knowledge and practical skills. I also liaised and managed relationships between stakeholders such as IT professionals, finance officers, senior academics and laboratory prep staff. The grant for initiating this work was awarded two months behind schedule; however, I was able to work to tight deadlines to ensure that critical milestones in the project were met on time and within budget.Key achievements:• The project was completed to a high quality on time and within budget.• The finished materials are now accessible to over 1000 undergraduate students and will be used as a template for future work.
