Robert Jebakumar Jayakumar
Thillai was my first manager in Mindtree. He is the one who identified my talent and made the person I’m to be. Thillai was instrumental in building a new DevOps team in Mindtree. This was the first initiative taken within Mindtree in 2015. Luckily, I was part of the setup and he had organised several training’s, exposure to tools and most importantly brought the DevOps culture into team. He handled numerous accounts and allocated Mindtree minds who were capable of fitting into the project. He built a COE DevOps team which consisted of about 200 minds who were deployed in various projects. Thillai’s management skills were extraordinary so he was able to identify best talent. Also, he was able to bring out the best from an individual by 1-2-1 conversation, motivation, and personal examples. Thillai is an asset and pillar to any organisation. His aim was to always build a best team in the organisation with Collaborative sprint, unrelenting dedication and expert thinking. Thillai was always available to the team and with his efforts we build a Mindtree proprietor tool called DEngine(DevOps Engine). Moreover, D-Engine team won the best award for technology in Mindtree technical event in Chennai. In a nutshell, Thillai is great person, talented Manager and a best friend. If I get an opportunity in the future, I would definitely work with him.
